U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink has said she was “horrified to see” the reports of Ukrainian casualties from Russia’s latest attacks.
She shared her reaction on social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.
“Horrified to see that overnight attacks struck multiple parts of Ukraine – killing 11 and injuring 40 – including a double tap hitting first responders in Dobropillia,” Brink wrote.
She said that civilians “continue to bear the cost of this war.”
On the evening of March 7, Russian forces launched a large-scale combined attack on Dobropillia, using Iskander-M missiles, Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers, and Geran-2 drones. Initial reports confirmed 11 fatalities and 33 injuries. The Donetsk region declared a day of mourning for the victims.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas commented on the recent Russian strikes, stating that President Vladimir Putin has once again demonstrated his lack of interest in peace.
