
Bomb disposal experts from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s State Special Transport Service removed and neutralized 1,042 explosive devices between March 23 and March 30.
The State Special Transport Service announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Experts cleared and inspected a total area of 1,288.33 hectares. According to the service, this is “an area more than one and a half times larger than the town of Kozelets in the Chernihiv region.”
The highest number of explosive devices – 751 — was found and neutralized in the Kherson region.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, units of the State Special Transport Service have removed and neutralized 220,009 explosive devices and cleared (or inspected) an area of 196,653.80 hectares.
Specifically, experts have demined 1,100.76 kilometers of roads, 25.78 hectares of water bodies, 2,761.31 kilometers of railway tracks, 537.62 kilometers of power lines, 82.77 kilometers of gas pipelines, 387.47 hectares of residential areas, and 509.81 hectares of forests.
