Police officers came under enemy drone attack in Kherson



A Russian drone attacked police officers in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson yesterday. Two law enforces sustained shrapnel wounds.

That’s according to the Kherson region’s police, Ukrinform reports.

“The Russian military launched an attack on police officers in the Korabelnyi district using an FPV drone. Two law enforcers suffered shrapnel wounds, but there is currently no threat to their lives. They are receiving treatment in hospital,” the report says.

The police noted that over the past day, Russian troops shelled civilian infrastructure in the Kherson and Beryslav districts. The occupiers attacked residential areas and vehicles with artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and UAVs.

Kherson, Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Prydniprovske and Sadove were the most affected by the enemy’s attacks.

The shelling damaged an apartment block and four private houses, two educational institutions, a shop and vehicles.

In particular, in Antonivka, a truck, a shop and a private house were damaged by artillery shelling. Occupiers attacked a car with an FPV drone. No one was injured. Enemy troops also shelled Antonivka with multiple launch rocket systems, damaging a private house.

In Kherson, a school, an apartment block and two private houses were damaged by shelling. Russian troops attacked a university building with an FPV drone.

The police reported that a 50-year-old man who sustained serious injuries on 10 February when explosives were dropped on Antonivka from a drone died in hospital the day before. Doctors fought for the man’s life for several days.

As reported, the Russians launched a massive attack on Mykolaiv, damaging a critical infrastructure facility.
