Russia’s attack on critical infrastructure in Mykolaiv has left 46,000 subscribers without heat supply.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Last night Russian terrorists targeted the critical infrastructure of Mykolaiv. Enemy UAVs damaged the city’s thermal power plant. This was done deliberately to leave people without heat in sub-zero temperatures and create a humanitarian catastrophe. Currently, 46,000 subscribers remain without heat supply,” said Shmyhal.
He stated that all relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and are doing everything possible to restore heat supply to homes, schools and hospitals as soon as possible.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of February 16, the Russian army carried out a large-scale attack on Mykolaiv, injuring one person and damaging a critical infrastructure facility, five apartment buildings, several stores, and a restaurant.
