Russian forces shelled the city of Kherson with artillery, resulting in one fatality and the injury of a 19-year-old man.
Ukrinform reported this citing the Kherson Regional Military Administration (RMA) on Telegram.
“At around 11:00, Russian troops launched an artillery attack on Kherson,” the statement reads.
As a result of the strike, a 19-year-old man suffered an explosive trauma and a concussion. He was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
The RMA also confirmed that another man was fatally wounded in the artillery attack.
The Kherson City Military Administration (CMA) corroborated the reports of one killed and one injured, stating that the deceased man sustained injuries incompatible with life. His identity is currently being established by specialists.
The 19-year-old resident of Kherson was taken to the hospital for medical care.
Earlier, Ukrinform reported that overnight shelling in Kherson damaged a critical infrastructure facility. Emergency repair work is expected to take approximately a week, and there may be a drop in water pressure in the city’s water supply network.
