In Zaporizhzhia, scientists accidentally discovered a downed Russian Molniya-2 drone on the banks of the Dnipro River near the village of Rozumovka. The drone had been neutralized by Ukrainian air defense forces.
Zaporizhzhia-based biologist and local historian Valerii Kiemienov reported the discovery on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“These are the kinds of finds we come across in these times. An enemy UAV — damaged and shot down. […] Glory to Ukraine’s Defense Forces! The Molniya-2 strike drones are FPV aircraft capable of covering over 30 kilometers,” Kiemienov wrote.
The police have been informed about the discovery.
Earlier reports indicated that the Russian army attacked the Zaporizhzhia district using guided aerial bombs and drones. Explosions were heard in several parts of the city.
