On the birthday of Ukraine’s national poet, a 25-year-old sculptor from the Odesa region and employee of the Tuzly Lagoons National Nature Park, Taras Shevchenko, was killed in action.
Ivan Rusiev, a colleague from the Tuzly Lagoons National Nature Park, announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“A young, incredibly bright person, an outstanding sculptor of Ukrainian Bessarabia, is no longer with us. He was taken by the war, which he went to fight alongside his father, Oleksandr, as soon as the Russian invasion began,” Rusiev wrote.
Taras Shevchenko collaborated with the Tuzly Lagoons National Nature Park, creating sculptures of a great pelican, a Scythian stone figure, and a marmot, which welcomed visitors
