
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov discussed with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense and the development of the Drone Line project.
According to Ukrinform, Umerov posted this on Facebook.
“Continuing my work trip—today in the Netherlands. I am glad to meet my friend, Minister of Defense Ruben Brekelmans. The Netherlands is among the leaders in supporting Ukraine, and this support remains unwavering,” he said.
Umerov also reminded that the Netherlands is allocating 700 million euros for drones for Ukraine. “Expansion of the “Drone Line” project. We discussed in details this important initiative, which helps scale up modern combat experience. The Netherlands is ready to support and facilitate its expansion,” he added.
According to Umerov, strengthening and reinforcing air defense remains among Ukraine’s top priorities. “We discussed concrete steps to help Ukraine better counter russian missile and drone attacks,” he summarized.

Umerov thanked Brekelmans and the entire team of the Dutch Ministry of Defense for their clear position, quick decisions and real assistance to Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported, on March 3, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched the “Drone Line” project initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, which aims to scale up the combat experience of unmanned systems units.

On March 5, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof discussed with President Zelensky the possibility of investing 700 million euros in the production of drones, partly intended for Ukraine.
