118 clashes on frontline, Pokrovsk axis remaining hottest



On February 27, as many as 118 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian invaders occurred along the front lines, including 43 assault and offensive actions by the enemy in the Pokrovsk axis.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, providing operational information as of 22:00 on Thursday, February 27, according to Ukrinform.

“Since the beginning of the day, there have been 118 combat clashes. The enemy carried out 69 airstrikes using 87 guided bombs, over 1,050 kamikaze drone strikes, and more than 4,000 artillery shellings of our forces’ positions and civilian areas using various types of weapons,” the statement reads.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attempted four times to break through the Ukrainian defenders’ positions towards Vovchansk and Kindrashivka. Additionally, they launched an airstrike on Slatyne.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked six times attempting to advance towards the settlements of Yampolivka, Torske, Zelena Dolyna, and Kolodiazi. The Ukrainian defenders repelled all the enemy’s attacks.

In the Siversk sector, the Ukrainian forces successfully repelled two enemy attacks near Bilohorivka. The settlement of Siversk suffered airstrikes with glide bombs.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled two enemy attempts to advance near Vasiukivka and Predtechyne. The enemy carried out airstrikes with glide bombs on Kramatorsk.

The enemy attempted 11 times to breach the Ukrainian defense in the Toretsk sector near Krymske and Toretsk. Three clashes are still ongoing. Additionally, the settlement of Kostiantynivka was subjected to airstrikes with glide bombs.

The enemy is intensively attacking the Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk sector. Throughout the day, the aggressor carried out 43 assault and offensive actions. The heaviest activity of Russian occupiers was observed in the areas of the settlements of Berezivka, Myrne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Novoukrainka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Zaporizhzhia, Andriivka, and Bohdanivka, with 12 clashes still ongoing. The enemy dropped 15 glide bombs on the settlements of Oleksiivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, and Zvirive.

Preliminary estimates indicate that the occupiers’ losses in this sector of the front since the start of the day have amounted to 72 killed and 67 wounded. In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed one vehicle, a cannon, a motorcycle, and an ATV, a portable electronic warfare station, two SuperCam reconnaissance drones, and one Zala drone. A tank, two artillery systems, and a multiple rocket launcher system were also disabled.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Novopil, and Burlatske. Five clashes are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy attacked the Ukrainian defenders’ positions six times near Charivne. Meanwhile, the enemy carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, and Mali Shcherbaky.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy, with the support of assault aviation, attacked nine times the Ukrainian defense positions inear Novodarivka, Stepove, Piatykhatky, and Kamianske, with four clashes still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk and Prydniprovske sectors, the Russians have not carried out any offensive actions since the beginning of the day.

Ten combat clashes occurred today in the Kursk sector. Throughout the day, the enemy carried out 336 artillery shellings, including 15 from multiple rocket launch systems, launched 16 airstrikes, and dropped 24 guided bombs.

“Today, for effective combat work, the soldiers of the 128th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade Dyke Pole and the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade should be commended,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded.
